Homes needed – 100 rescued battery hens

Today we have rescued our first hens of 2011. Battery hens live a miserable existences and after a short life, the are sent for slaughter to maintain high egg production, in the name of cheap food.

We have rescued a tiny fraction of the 20,00 being killed at a farm in the South, but every one we take on is a life saved, a life that will now prosper.

Can you help by taking on pet chickens??
