Bring and Buy Raises £2,028

We had a wonderful bring and buy sale today, thank you to everyone who helped us over the past few weeks preparing and the many that helped on the day, some are still here now cleaning up. A huge amount of work goes into making these events a success, we cannot do it without the kindness of our volunteers, friends and neighbours..

The weather was kind to us, the field dried out nicely and it didn’t rain, we even had a few sunny spells.

We have raised an amazing £2,028 with a few hundred left to come in. We need to raise £50,000 every year so this is a great help.

Thank you everyone.

    Pigeon

This young Wood Pigeon was been admitted with a huge air pocket, larger than any we have seen. This can often be caused by the rupture of one or more of their internal air sacks, used for breathing. In this case the air pocket was so large, the pressure was affecting his breathing and preventing him…

    Tawny Owl Chick

This little chick was found on the forest floor with no sign of the parents. The chick came to us in reasonable health, although he/she would not have survived long on the ground with no parents. After a hours or so in an incubator to get him warm, we could feed him. Owl’s have to…
