…….and more baby animals come in!

Spring time is always a very busy time for us, as the baby animals come in on a daily basis.

Last week this young carrion crow came to us. Crows are meat eating birds that generally scavenge for dead animals.

We started to force feed this guy, he was quite weak and very thin. Fortunately he is now eating himself, he is fed on chicken based dog food.

Now eating on his own, we can distance ourselves to try and prevent imprinting.  Crows are intelligent birds and can become very tame with too much human contact.

In the past we have released crows and they have greeted us each morning, followed us around all day and even tapped on the windows when they want feeding!
