Barn Owl Released

Today we have released a barn owl back into the wild. This chap came to us a few weeks ago, he was found on the ground and unable to fly more than a few feet.

He is young and found very thin, he just didn’t have the energy to fly and on was deaths door. Its likely that he’s a Juvenile and not long away from his parents.

He spent a week in our animal hospital, initially being force fed, later once had had the strength and eat by himself, he was moved into an aviary.

We have fed up and now a few weeks on, he is a good weight with enough reserves to be released.

We have given him a head start on his young life.
