Swan Rescue – Updated 24 October 2010

This young swan came from Sleaford, she is very weak and easily caught which is unusual for a swan. We have put her on antibiotics and are having to tube feed her twice a day.

There are a number of conditions that she could be suffering with, from infection to a blocked digestive tract, so watch this space as we do everything we can to assess her and save her life.

UPDATE – Unfortunately we have lost the fight, despite our best efforts and our vets, this beautiful juvenile Swan passed away on Saturday afternoon, she now rests peacefully.

    150 Hens Rescued

    We have carried out a rescue in the past few days and have 150 hens to rehome. These hens are rescued barn hens approximately 18 months old, we have rescued 150 out of 20,000 going for slaughter from a farm in Surrey, they had reached the end of their “commercial life”. Sadly we could not rescue…
