Sponsored bike ride [updated]

Updated 6 Nov 2010:
We completed the sponsored bike ride in the planned time of 17 days. Fortunately we didn’t have any punctures or any other mechanical problems along the way. Ian’s navigating was surprisingly ok and he only got us lost a couple of times. The weather was pretty good with only a couple of rainy and windy days. We managed to stop off at 5 veggie/vegan cafes en route with the 78 in Glasgow been the pick of the bunch.

Overall it was a amazing trip, we had some hard days but we saw some nice places and met some good people.

We are still in the process of collecting the sponsor money in, so if you haven’t already sponsored us, but would like to please contact me using the form below, or pop down to the sanctuary and see Jon or Beth.

30 Aug 2010:
Friends of Brinsley Animal Rescue, Kim and Ian, are doing a sponsored bike ride to raise money for the charities Brinsley Animal Rescue and Vegfam. They will be cycling around a thousand miles from Lands End to John o’ Groats. They will depart on Tuesday the 31st of August. The ride will take 17 days and it will be unsupported, meaning they will be carrying everything required for the trip (tents, stoves, food etc.)

Above: Kim and Ian on their Wales trip.

Please help us to raise much needed funds for these two charities.

To sponsor: see Jon or Beth; the fundraising Facebook group;

or contact Kim directly:
