Santa Arrives at Christmas Open Day

The 2012 Christmas Open Day was a great success, thank you everyone who turned out in the bitter cold to support the charity and raise some much needed funds.

The day was attended by around 400 and we raised a fantastic £2,464.

We really can’t thank people enough and really appreciate everyone’s hard work and help. Hopefully before Christmas we will have more exciting news so watch this space.

Santa and his Elf mistake Boris for a reindeer!

‘Veggies’ serving fabulous, healthy food throughout the day who also donate their days profits to us.

Boris always loves a good fuss, so at open days he’s in his element, getting a good scratch all day long.

Whenever we have an open day, every one makes a beeline to see Boris, he is very popular and loved by all.

Rocky assumed his usual position in the cinema!

Ryan and Joe enjoy some fuss.

Rocky realises that he can free range on the drive beyond the gate and tries to get to the ‘Veggies’ stall.

The tombola and raffle girls worked so hard – thanks girls (and boys).

    Swan Rescue

Another swan rescue today. We get understandably frustrated by the number of calls we receive for waterfowl caught up in carelessly discarded fishing hooks and line, in most cases we cannot help as we simply don’t have the resources to help or the birds are inaccessible on or close to water. Today we managed to…
