4 Pygmy Goats
We have taken in another 4 pygmy goats. These were kept by a breeder, they were bred and the kids sold as pets. They have been given up, probably due to the recession.
Hoglet Rescue
These young hedgehogs or hoglets as they are known, were found wandering in the daytime. Hedgehogs are nocturnal so a hog out in the daytime is usually a sign that something is wrong. These two are weaned off their mother but are too small for this time of year. They need to be above 500 grams…
Another hen rescue
We have waited a long time to do another hen rescue but this weekend we have secured a retirement for 80 ex bats. have now collected the ladies and hope to get them into their new homes as soon as possible. We will be ringing people that are currently on our waiting list for hens.

The boys are rehomed
Archie, Benji, Charlie and Dillon were all rescued at one week old, the waste by product of the dairy industry. We took them in and hand reared them, finally they have gone to a great new home in West Yorkshire.

Swan Rescue
This beautiful swan came to us from Shipley County Park. It had a fishing hook lodged into its body. Following a trip to the vets to have the hook removed, it is now recuperating in a pen on antibiotics and painkillers.
Hand Rearing Squirrels
On 20 August we had three very young squirrels delivered to us, these were found by a member of the public that had disturbed them whilst cleaning a chimney.
