Another hen rescue

We have waited a long time to do another hen rescue but this weekend we have secured a retirement for 80 ex bats. have now collected the ladies and hope to get them into their new homes as soon as possible.  We will be ringing people that are currently on our waiting list for hens.

The picture shows a little ex bat that recently came in with a broken leg.  It was the first time she spent in the sunshine after spending several days in a harness and hospital cage.  She is now being introduced to the resident flock.  Despite a slight limp she is doing really well and tonight when it was dusk I found her snuggled up with Rocky the pig.
