Swan Rescue

This swans injuries look pretty severe, however although there has been a lot of blood loss, we are confident of a full recovery. He arrived Friday night after being found at the side of the road, whilst we were getting ready to go and collect, the Police thankfully brought him to us, not their usual Friday night adventures! We cleaned his wounds and put him on pain relief, antibiotics and wound cream, the following morning our accommodating vets gassed him down so that he could be X-Rayed and receive a full examination. Thankfully his blooded wing is not broken, he has a wound injury to a wing and a deep wound under the same wing. We are hopeful of a full recovery.
