This beautiful sparrow hawk flew into a mirror causing concussion and a broken toe, they have overcome the concussion and the toe healed. After a week in our hospital they were moved to an aviary and now released.

Today we rescued another 100 battery hens. We had hoped to rescue at least 200 however we have been limited, thankfully because they have homes.
The badger we took in via Mid Derbyshire Badger Group has been successfully released back to where he was found. As they are nocturnal, its important that this is done at nighttime whilst they are active.

So far this year we are having greater success in rehoming piggies, sadly the calls to take them in, is remains relentless and far outweighs those we home. This weekend we said goodbye to the three boys that only arrived in February. As you can see they have a great new home. IMG_4999
Since Brinsley Animal Rescue formed 6 years ago, each year we have steadily grown, this continued in 2013 with 1240 pets, farm animals and wild animals rescued by the Charity.
