Gloria Released at Bird Sanctuary

Gloria came to us from a member of the public when she was found wandering on Ikea car park.  She was loved by all of our visitors at our sanctuary and will be missed.

For her safety she lived in our large aviary, we had rehomed her once where she had access to a pond with other ducks, but this sweet little girl was bullied by the other ducks so she was returned.

We have now released her at a bird sanctuary at Reg Taylors in Southwell, there she can enjoy large ponds and be protected by predator proof fencing. We miss her, but know that she is now free and safe.

  • Geese Homed

We don’t manage to find homes for geese too often, this year we haven’t done too bad with our third pair finding really great homes. This pair are now living on an arable farm along with chickens and ducks. Not everyone likes geese, they do make really good guard dogs, raising the alarm to any…

    Wild Mice Rescue

When we cleared out one of our stables to make way for 150 ex-battery hens,  we moved some bales of straw and disturbed a family of wild mice. Unfortunately the mother ran off and we could not find her. We had no choice, her babies were too young to defend for themselves so we hand…
