Four Ducks Homed

Four of these ducks went to an amazing new home over the weekend, they now live with other ducks who photobombed this shot!! They also now live with some chickens! Three of the ducks were given up as pets a few months ago, we’ll miss the cheeky characters, they follow the volunteers around the sanctuary…

Bertie Homed

Bertie an Anglo Nubian goat we rescued last year, has now been homed. Bertie is now at a great home near Buxton, where he’ll live with Colin another goat, he’ll enjoy lush grassland and an amazing view of the valley! He was introduced to his new buddy and all seems well, we hope he’ll appreciate…


Colin Moves On

This weekend we took Colin to his new, life-long home. We originally took in Colin in August this year, he was reported to have been a stray. He wasn’t castrated, so we needed to sort that out, to get him ready for rehoming. Male pigs need to be castrated, this makes them less boisterous but…


Bob and Brenda Rehomed

Our volunteers have mixed feelings saying goodbye to Bob and Brenda, two geese that have been with us to seven years now. Geese make great guard dogs, they are territorial and if you’re a stranger, beware of the loud honks and ankle nipping! Generally people are more frightened of geese than they are of dogs….
