Budgie Rescue

Today we have rescued 17 budgies from an animal hoarder who bred them out of control. bugies1 Many of the birds have been inbred which is not good for any animal.  We do not support keeping birds in cages which is why we are looking for people with aviaries who can take on these birds.  At present some of the birds are not well so we have quarantined them all and are looking into their illnesses before we can rehome them.  These birds will also need to be kept indoors until the Spring.

    We have released another swan, the second in two days, after treatment. We rescued this one after reports that she had collapsed. On release we Searched for her partner, however he couldn’t be found, we left her near her nest and she was calling out for him. We hope they become reunited.
