Today we have rescued 17 budgies from an animal hoarder who bred them out of control. 
Many of the birds have been inbred which is not good for any animal. We do not support keeping birds in cages which is why we are looking for people with aviaries who can take on these birds. At present some of the birds are not well so we have quarantined them all and are looking into their illnesses before we can rehome them. These birds will also need to be kept indoors until the Spring.
2009 was the second complete calendar year that Brinsley Animal Rescue existed and our first complete year as a charity. We have had many challenges, many low points and many successes which have helped us carry on with the thankless task of rescuing 600 animals each year.
