Another Little Owl

Another day and another patient.

We collected this Little Owl from a school, he was found at the base of a tree. The owl was quite dirty, you can see the debris falling off him on the examination table, he has a swollen eye and torn skin. It is probable that the injuries were sustained on his descent.

Although not a native species, one cannot just love these little creatures and help them as best we can, as we do for all animals in our care.

He’s has a bit of a clean up, drops for his swollen eye and been hand fed. Fingers crossed, the next 48 hours will be critical for this little chappie.
