Paddy is Rehomed

What a beautiful day it has been today. Paddy the donkey we took on several months ago finally met other donkeys for the first time in his 15 year life!!! How amazing is that. Massive thanks to the staff and customers at Bread and Butterflies cafe in West Bridgford that paid for his castrate and made this day possible.

We are just so overwhelmed that he now has his happily ever after and in the next few days he will be able to frolic in the field with his 2 new female companions. We will miss this little character so much here as he was always so full of mischief but he isn’t far away and we know he will be so happy finally living with other donkeys. Thank you to everyone who also contributed to his fundraiser which helped pay for his vaccinations, his tetanus, his hoof trims, his feed and wormers. A massive team effort. Big thanks to Claire for teaching him to load and pick up his feet so nicely and to Amy for sorting out an infection in his hoof. We all miss you Paddy but you’re going to have such an amazing life now.
