This unfortunate swan managed to get a large fishing hook caught in his foot. This has now been removed by a vet and he’s with us whilst resting and completes a course of antibiotics.
All looks positive for a release back with his partner in a few days time.

This beautiful fox cub arrived at the weekend, we believe her mother has been killed, and there are no signs of other cubs. Fortunately she is eating herself and she’s doing well. These three guys have joined our ever growing population of goats.
Today we have rescued 150 caged hens from a caged farm in Lincs. This is a fraction of the thousands going to slaughter from the farm, but these lucky ladies are safe, recovering and now we want life-long homes for them. Thankfully these girls are safe now, and have now all found homes.
Bertie an Anglo Nubian goat we rescued last year, has now been homed. Bertie is now at a great home near Buxton, where he’ll live with Colin another goat, he’ll enjoy lush grassland and an amazing view of the valley! He was introduced to his new buddy and all seems well, we hope he’ll appreciate…
