Fudge came to us with two others, little did we know that two of them were pregnant so 3 soon became 14! We have found a home for dear little Fudge but have quite a few baby rabbits that need loving new homes. It is easy to see from this example how rabbit breeding can easily get out of control and causes us a lot of problems. When there are so many unwanted rabbits in the U.K there is NEVER any reason to BREED rabbits.

We have taken in another 4 pygmy goats. These were kept by a breeder, they were bred and the kids sold as pets. They have been given up, probably due to the recession.

Spring time is very busy for us with many baby animals and birds coming in. It is very time consuming and hard work not to mention sometimes heartbreaking to hand rear small animals.
This guy has a broken wing, he will have to be suspended in a harness for a couple of weeks in a hospital cage. Then we can remove the bandage supporting his wing, he should then be fit enough to be moved to an aviary to start the rehabilitation process before final release. Update 20 September…
