Benji and Ben’s Incredible cycle ride.

Benji Meeks is currently cycling from John O’Groats to Lands End (That’s 1000 miles in 14 days). He has to be back for a wedding! He is aiming to raise £1 per mile. All the money raised will be going to our charity which will be an amazing £1000.

Benji has also supported us by giving a loving home to 3 of our piggies,2 goats and poultry. When we took Gemma the horse on a few years ago he sent 5 joiners from Meeks Joinery round to help build her a stable at short notice and they gave their valuable time and skills for free.

Please sponsor him to do this amazing event.

Ben is also cycling and raising money for Make a Wish Foundation.

    Sparrow Hawk

This young Sparrow Hawk came to us with an injured right wing. Fortunately for this beautiful bird the damage is repairable. The wing is now tied back to allow it to heal, the bird will be kept confined for around 4 weeks before being moved to a large aviary and prepared for release. Update 27 September Today…

  • Pigeons

Another pigeon squab arrives to be hand reared. This squab needed rescuing, he was on the floor having fallen out of the nest. Far too often fledglings are picked up which should not be disturbed. Pigeons make great parents, but they aren’t very clever at making secure nests, they often resemble a pile of twigs…
