Today we had two pot-bellied pigs rescued from a pub. These two boisterous lads were exhibits at a pub in Ruddington, however when the pub was sold, the new land lord didn’t want these two, so now we have them and are looking for their next home.
Can you offer them the space and a good home for the rest of their lives?
Meet Walter and Eddie, the latest handsome boys to join the sheep herd. They are Jacob sheep from a school farm project. It’s forecast to rain all week so they’ll have to wait a bit longer for us to get their enormous winter woolly coats off.
It’s very rewarding finally releasing ducks back into the wild where they belong. So far we have released 18 ducks that have come to us as ducklings and have had to be reared and cared for, ducks are very messy and need to be cleaned out twice daily, so we are happy to see these…
Our volunteers have mixed feelings saying goodbye to Bob and Brenda, two geese that have been with us to seven years now. Geese make great guard dogs, they are territorial and if you’re a stranger, beware of the loud honks and ankle nipping! Generally people are more frightened of geese than they are of dogs….
