Ruby the Blind Fox

Ruby the blind fox cub, who was brought to us in April has made a great recovery.

When she arrived, she had a torn ear and an infected puncture wound to her neck and her eyes had a discharge. Although these health issues have now been treated by us, she is unfortunately blind and can therefore never be returned to the wild.

Normally be do not name wild animals and limit contact with them, so that we can release them back where they belong. In Ruby’s case, she would not survive. We have found a fox sanctuary where she can live in a large pen, with her own kind, in the meantime we are socialising her, so that she can be cared for by humans.

Ruby is very playful, she runs around, plays with toys and is enjoying her life.
