ByJonThis young swan came from Sleaford, she is very weak and easily caught which is unusual for a swan. We have put her on antibiotics and are having to tube feed her twice a day.

ByJonOn Saturday we re-homed Oliver, Oscar and Olive to a great new home in Northampton. Oliver and Oscar were rescued last year, along with their two brothers who were homed in 2011. Start of the Chick Season
ByJonSpringtime is a very busy time for us as we receive lots of orphaned baby animals, that need to be hand reared and cared for. In particular we rear a lot of baby birds, yesterday we received our very first of the season, a young collared dove.
Battery Hen Rescue
ByJonThis week we have rescued another 85 battery hens, after a short life of only 18 months, they were destined to become pet food. Battery hens soon recover and make great pets. These girls have finally ventured out and seen daylight and experienced space for the very first time in their lives.
