Thanks you everyone who supported our open day last week, we took £4,794 a great achievement considering the current challenges we all face.

Yesterday we took in 6 goslings. A member of the public stopped when they saw thier mother trying to cross the A52 with her babies and tragically she was killed, thankfully sombody stopped and managed to catch the goslings. Teddy is two years old, he is a ram and lived at Brittain Pit Farm, but when it was forced to close, all of the animals had to be rehomed.
It has been a busy week (as usual) with many calls for animals including wildlife. Unfortunately we are not always able to respond to large animal rescues, we do though offer advice and signpost. An elderly cob has just been admitted, brought to us by the RSPCA (England & Wales), he’s weak and a little subdued. Thankfully he started eating and drinking rehydration fluid, a good sign, fingers crossed.
