About Minty

Past History

In November 2011, Brinsley Animal Rescue was contacted about a very distressing case. Over 60 ponies, including some mares in foal, had been found in serious neglect. Thankfully through the help of other larger organizations we were able to recover them, and the owner: prosecuted. Brinsley Animal Rescue took on two little colts –  Minty being one of them.

Behaviour

Minty is a fantastic 2 year old 9hh welsh gelding; who has come on in leaps and bounds. Incredibly shy at first and having to brave a very complicated operation to geld him. He takes everything in his stride and shows great potential with his try hard attitude. Showing little fear to the farrier, vet and dentist, as well as being good to load. Minty is good to catch, tie up and be groomed etc. is good to lead around and is well behaved in traffic. Minty likes to build up his trust with strangers but once it’s there he will make a loving, loyal little pony.

Health Concerns or Issues

No concerns present or future

Suitable Loanee / Home

Minty has received all his vaccinations and is up to date with his dental. He comes with his passport and needs a home that can further on his training (to be backed) or he could make a very sweet companion pony.
