Meet Winston

Meet Winston, he’s only 3 years old. Winston has had a tough little life so far and was in desperate need of a rescue place. He’s loving his deep bed of straw and took no time in making himself a lovely bad last night which is something I don’t think he’s done for a very long time.

On his first full day with us, he has been foraging, eating loads of bananas, carrots, strawberries and apples. He’s been making nests in his deep straw bed and having a FEW snoozes.

He was extremely nervous on arrival, but even in this short time with us he’s gained enough confidence to have a few belly rubs.

We need to book him in for a castration as soon as possible as he’s showing all the bolshy behaviours of an entire boar.

Meet Horace and Roland – The Cruelty Case Rescued Pigs

Until now, these two guys have lived an appalling life, they are extremely obese and have lived in a small and very muddy garden. These castrated male Kune Kune pigs  are so obese that they can barely move, its very likely that they have been fed too much of an inappropriate diet and not had space to exercise and enact normal pig behaviour. All…

  • A Massive Thank You!

If that wasn’t generous enough, Longcliffe (http://www.longcliffe.co.uk/) kindly collected and delivered one load free…

    Stevie & Samie

Meet Stevie and Sammie. Rabbits are probobly the most neglected and abused pet, often bought from pet shops or breeders who have only profit in mind, they offer no or poor advice and some owners don’t do their research, often keeping solitary, unvaccinated, unneutered rabbits in tiny cages, not here! These boys were found in…

  • Kitten Rescue

This was yesterday’s little emergency. As much as we get up every morning and have a plan in our head for the day it generally goes to pot because we have come to expect the unexpected and we have to spring into action. These kittens are blind and were found stumbling round aimlessly on an…
