This week we have rescued 100 ex-commercial hens that are now looking for life-long homes.
We managed to take on 100 of the 20,000 being sent for slaughter at the young age of 18 months, now no longer commercially viable.

We have taken in another 4 pygmy goats. These were kept by a breeder, they were bred and the kids sold as pets. They have been given up, probably due to the recession.

Over the weekend we dropped off Magic one of our Dartmoor ponies to his beautiful new home. He is now living as a companion pony with a lovely mare called ‘Cariad’. She wasn’t too pleased to be sharing her field at first but we are sure they’ll both be friends soon. Lucky little Magic.

Released after rest, relaxation and a thorough examination and worming. This young juvenile found in a busy urban area near main roads was taken in by us last week, now they are with a group of young swans to find a mate.
This little girl came to us in April only a few days old, all cold and very weak. A few hour in an incubator and she was on her way to recovery. Over the weeks we have been taking care of her until large enough to fend for herself in the wild, where she was released yesterday. At…
