Today it was a sad yet happy day as we said good bye to Sammy. We have grown fond of Sammy as we first saw him as a wild Dartmoor Hill Pony, rescued a few months ago.
In a short time, he has become very confident as we trained and handled him. Sammy is a very lucky pony, many ponies unfortunately are not so lucky, 800 Dartmoor Ponies have already been killed for their meat.
The other two buys colts rescued with Sammy are looking for good homes.
Jake is a very friendly Jacobs ram, he runs up to us for the fuss and attention he adores. Jake is a castrated ram and now is looking for a home with other sheep or goats.
