4 Kittens Rescued (updated)

Update: 11 August
3 of the kittens have now been rehomed. The male tabby is currently with a foster family.
Update: 13 July
The kittens have become very friendly. We have one home for the bouncy black one, ‘Dobby-James’, he joins his new family soon.
Anyone who thinks they could find the time to care for one of these bundles of joy and adopt a kitten, please contact us to arrange an appointment.

These kittens were found under a garden shed. The owner of the shed didn’t want feral cats in his garden so they are now looking for good homes. There are two tabby and two black, currently potty training, lovable and very cute. They will need to be spayed/neutered, this reduces the risk of certain diseases and prevents further unwanted animals. They will also require regular vaccinations to ensure their well-being.

Although we don’t take on cats or dogs, currently all local cat rescue centres are absolutely overwhelmed with unwanted kittens.  Kirkby Cat Rescue currently has 40 unwanted kittens alone as well as many other older cats. You can understand why when a cat breeder rang in the week she was given short, sharp shrift.  There is no such thing as a ‘responsible’ breeder when there are so many unwanted animals in the U.K being put to sleep every day.

Sadly lots of newspapers are full of adverts for kittens and plenty of people are breeding kittens for money with little thought for anyone but themselves.

Name poll is now closed. Thank you for suggesting names.
