Two more mouths to feed !

These two male Saanen goats, Boo and Ryan, came to us a few weeks ago. Saanen originated from Switzerland and are have been bred to produce milk. The females, who produce milk, have to kids each year, and so most of the young are slaughtered, the waste product of the milk industry.

These two guys thou are the lucky ones, they were acquired from the farmer by a member of the public, and brought to us.

Boo and Ryan will be castrated soon, then we will be looking for permanent homes for these great, friendly characters.

There was no way we could safely remove it…

  • A Review of 2009

2009 was the second complete calendar year that Brinsley Animal Rescue existed and our first complete year as a charity. We have had many challenges, many low points and many successes which have helped us carry on with the thankless task of rescuing 600 animals each year.
