Swan Released

A few moths ago we took in a signet who had been brought to us by Guardian Angels Bird Sanctuary. The signet had unfortunately got into trouble, she had gone over a weir and got separated from her family, sustaining a leg injury in the process.

Thankfully after weeks of treatment and convalescence, she’s made a full recovery and we have now released her.

Here you can see her as she was being released, she made friends straight away with another swan, so great to see a happy ending.

    Jackdaw Rescue

We admitted this beautiful Jackdaw some weeks ago, he arrived with a broken wing. Where possible, we try to repair, if repairable and when there is a realistic chance of the survival and being able to be released. The break was complicated, the only way to repair it was for an operation, fortunate for this…
