A few weeks ago our friends at Brook Farm Animal Sanctuary took in 30 sheep from a gentleman who could no longer care for them. We are helping by taking on 6 ewes, and they have made good friends with our resident ram, Jakey.
The ewes are now all wormed, hooves trimmed and wool sheared, so they are looking for a permanent, life-long home.
Herbie, the Hebridian sheep was abandoned by his former owner and left to fend for himself. Fortunately he was noticed and was taken care of in the short term, until he could be brought to us. These two guys were taking in by us in 2010 and re-homed, unfortunately things didn’t work out and today their back with us. These two castrated pygmy goats are very friendly and need to be re-homed together. They need a field or large garden, with secure fencing and somewhere to sleep and escape from the sun, wind and rain.
