A great day today at our Summer Open day will over 1,000 people coming along to support us. Not all of the funds are in as yet, however so far we have taken £5,335, a huge boost to the charity.

Today we have rescued a further 60 barn hens. At only 18 months old, they have reached the end of their commercial life and were destined for slaughter, to become pet food or cheap pies. If you can offer a life-long loving home to two or more hens, to be kept as pets, please see…
At this time of year the small and sick hedgehogs start to come in to us on an almost daily basis, many hogs that are too small to hibernate through the winter.
It’s been a full on day today at the rescue and it was ‘C’ day for our little boy Ollie. Our lovely @the.stray.vet who is leaving us to go travelling (no, we can’t believe it either!!!) carried out the procedure and we’re glad to say little Ollie is already up and on his feet rummaging…
The Heron we admitted mid August has been released today and what a sight it was to see such a large majestic bird fly. This chap arrived emaciated, grounded and very weak, he could hardly stand.
