This guy has a broken wing, he will have to be suspended in a harness for a couple of weeks in a hospital cage. Then we can remove the bandage supporting his wing, he should then be fit enough to be moved to an aviary to start the rehabilitation process before final release.

This guy is doing well. he is out of his sling and in an aviary being prepared for release.

Tonight we released four birds back into the wild. First we released a wood pigeon that we reared from a baby chick, then we released two young collared doves and a feral pigeon. One dove was also hand reared by us, the other came to us with an infected eye.

These two guys were taking in by us in 2010 and re-homed, unfortunately things didn’t work out and today their back with us. These two castrated pygmy goats are very friendly and need to be re-homed together. They need a field or large garden, with secure fencing and somewhere to sleep and escape from the sun, wind and rain.
