Today Bertie was moved to his new, life-long home where he has an acre of land, a girlfriend and a stable to sleep in, a far cry fom the bungelow he came from, living on his own.

Our volunteers have mixed feelings saying goodbye to Bob and Brenda, two geese that have been with us to seven years now. Geese make great guard dogs, they are territorial and if you’re a stranger, beware of the loud honks and ankle nipping! Generally people are more frightened of geese than they are of dogs….
The three sheep we recently took in from a bad home are all sorted. They have been sheared, wormed and had their hooves trimmed. Today they have gone to a great new temporary home. They will be back with us in the late Spring but for now they have an amazing home with lush grass…
On Wednesday we rescued 4 dartmoor ponies, these ponies have been rounded up off the moor and were destined for slaughter. Of the 150 destined for pet food, 42 have been rescued by people and animal sanctuaries around the country.
