This lovely trio came from an old lady who could no longer look after them. They had spent their entire life cooped up in small cages. When we first let them into a larger area, they were frightened of the space. They have since settled in and now have a large aviary to live in.
There are quite a few gerbils that need good homes. Someone had been breeding these poor animals out of control and the result has been hundreds of unwanted little gerbils. This weekend has been even more manic than normal, with two fund raisers as well as looking after the animals. We need to raise £1,000 a week, so we attend various events raising to help us raise the funds we need to pay for food, bedding, equipment and vets bills….
Poor Poppy came in so thin her back bone was prominent and she only looked like a baby guinea. She soon put on weight and by keeping her indoors she became a cheeky guinea who always liked to snatch a good carrot from your hand.

These two baby goats were a result of the milk industry, unwanted and were destined to become pet food. Fortunately we rescued them and they now live in a large garden in Gedling
