Goats Rehomed

Many people who have visited us ask us what kind of hen Bertha is.  She is a ‘broiler’ hen.  She was ‘designed’ to live for 39 days, that’s all it takes from birth to slaughter for food.

The warm weather is finally upon us and so we can shear the sheep to ensure that they don’t get too hot or get fly strike. As we need every penny to go along way in helping animals, we don’t pay anyone to sheer the sheep, we do it ourselves, volunteers work for free! We…
