Wildlife Hospital Volunteering

We admit all kinds of native wildlife that come to us from the public as well as from vets and other organisations. The wildlife can be injured, sick or particularly in spring, we can lots of babies that need to be hand reared. Our aims are to release wildlife back into the wild.

Induction and Training

New volunteers once inducted will shadow our experienced volunteers and then start with the basics. Over time volunteers build thier competencies and take on more responsibilities.

Application Process

We rescue all species of native wild aniamls and as such, a high level of training is required to volunteer in our hospital therefore we are unable to accept inexperienced volunteers straight into the hospital, there are to routes to volunteering with our wildlife;

  1. Become a long-term volunteer working with out pets and farm animals, once you have proven to be reliable and dependable, you can request to start in the hospital when we have volunteer vacancies.
  2. If you have skills and experience to offer such as you have previously volunteered in a wildlife hospital or have veterinary experience, we may be able to offer you a volunteering roles. Please send us an email with a CV and covering letter.
