Ducks

before adopting ducks, there are a few considerations to take into account;

• Ducks are a flock species and so need to be with thier own kind in pairs minimum if not groups.
• They need a pond to bathe which will need fresh clean water often, normally daily unless very large.
• At night they will need to be locked up into a predator proof enclosure. even if you have a pond with an island, domesticated ducks will not instinctively roost in safty.
• Ducks are very messy, if you plan to keep them in a garden, be prepared to have your lawn annihilated.
• Give a lot of thought to space and male/female ratio, if you have too many for the space you have, apart from turning it into a quagmire they can start squabling.
