Russian Hamsters

So many people go and buy Russian Hamsters because they look so stunning but they really are not an ideal pet for children. They bite!So many pet shops give poor advice about these animals and certainly won’t take them back when people learn about their nipping tendencies. Are you able to offer a home to these beautiful creatures? They really do deserve good homes. Rescue centres very often have a surplus of these tiny fellas through no fault of their own.  Some so called rescue centres even put these hamsters to sleep if they take them in because they consider them so unrehomeable.

We have a NO DESTRUCTION POLICY unless an animal is seriously ill. 10 of these hamsters need a good home (all separately).

Mice

We have quite a few mice (black and white) of both sexes that need good homes. Give us a ring if you can offer a home to a mouse or two.

Degus

We have 2 groups of Degus that need good homes. These guys became trendy pets to have and were the ‘in’ thing thanks to those damn pet shops again!! Now unfortunately they are very much ending up at rescue centres. They can’t eat fruit as they are intolerant to sugar and they don’t particularly like being handled. They are quite vocal and would love to find a loving home.
