Fencing
We have been quoted £8,000 to fence off the field. How many animals could that spay and neuter? Needless to say we cannot afford that so if you have any spare time to help us do a bit of fencing or hard work then give us a ring.
As you can see we have made a small start! If you are able to offer any fencing materials or a cement mixer then we would be even more appreciative. If you are able to offer even a day of your time then we will feed and water you too!
We are always in need of the following, if you can help us in providing some materials or good old hard work please give us a call.
Work is progressing well, but there is still quite a bit to be done before this corner of the field can contain animals.
We desperately need a variety of equipment and materials, as well as help, to allow us to continue to expand our sanctuary to allow us to rescue more animals.
In particular the projects we have planned for 2009 include;
- Building an animal hospital for sick animals that require warm surroundings, for this we need ;
- Wood to build walls & partitions
- Insulation
- Kitchen units / shelving
- Fencing – we need to continue fencing the field off into segments for pigs, chickens and other animals, for this we need;
- Fence posts
- Rails
- Sand/ cement
- Equipment – To help us with our projects and the day to day running, we need;
-
- Water bowser
- Concrete mixer
- Post rammer
- Rabbit cages, runs and aviaries, for this we need;
- Wield mesh
- Wood
- Screw, nails, hinges etc
This is one of the fences we erected in 2008, we need to erect many more to make the whole field secure.
