This poor chap we believe was hit by car , fortunately he was brought to us. He has a broken leg and an injury to his body.

He is in a body harness to keep his weight off his broken leg, he will have to remain like this for a couple of weeks, before we can start to let him put pressure on it again. this is a very tried and proven method.

4 Birds Released- 20 September

Tonight we released four birds back into the wild.

First we released a wood pigeon that we reared from a baby chick, then we released two young collared doves and a feral pigeon. One dove was also hand reared by us, the other came to us with an infected eye.

This little chap was brought in by a cat. We are hand rearing him now until he can fend for himself, he will then be released.

Update 20 September

This chap was finally released into nearby woods.

Two Collared Doves

These two doves were released together in early July. One came to us as a chick which was hand reared, the other had a broken leg, which was repaired prior to release.
