Dolly the Rescued Dairy Goat

Posted by Jon in News, Rehomed on Thursday 02/08/2012 16:26 UTC.

Dolly was destined for slaughter, no-longer needed as a dairy goat. During her life, she would have repeatedly given birth to kids, so that she would produce milk which could be harvested every day. Fortunately we were able to take her on and offer her a better life.

Dolly is very thin, bold in places and generally not in good shape. We have worked with her and she is slowly putting on weight and learning to trust us. We will not milk her, so she will slowly dry up and use her energy to recover and put on weight.

We already have a good home lined up for her, where she will be treated as a pet and live with other goats.
