Christmas at the Sanctuary – Thank you for your support

Posted by Jon in News on Wednesday 01/12/2010 19:00 UTC.

Despite the snow, the sub zero temperatures  and black ice, we had a successful Christmas Open Day with around 150 visitors during the day. We took made just over £1,000, despite the weather.

Our open days are a vital source of funding for us. This time of year our bills escalates as the animals need far more bedding to keep them warm and  our food bill almost doubles as we have zero grazing for the larger farm animals.

So thanks to everyone that came and thanks especially to the volunteers, without which we  could not have held the event.

Watch this space for the dates for our bumper summer open day.
